On July 6, a presentation of grant opportunities under the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Program for business development was held. The event took place at the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and online.
The presentation was attended by representatives of local businesses, government agencies, and business associations of Zaporizhzhia, with a total of more than 70 participants.
✔️ The participants discussed current challenges and needs of business in frontline Zaporizhzhia and presented grant opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses. Participants also shared their experience of cooperation with the Program, learned the details and conditions of participation.
Olesya Zaluska, USAID Competitive Economy Program Chief of Party, welcomed the participants. According to her, the Program has been operating in Ukraine for 5 years. These are opportunities that are designed to bring maximum benefit to Ukrainian business, which continues to operate today in extremely difficult conditions.

During the first information session, Arseniy Polozhiy, Regional Competitiveness Advisor of the USAID Competitive Economy Program, presented current grant opportunities of the Program for various sectors of the economy.
Kyrylo Krasnoselskyi, Director of Triada-Welding LLC, shared his experience of cooperation with the USAID Competitive Economy Program. Thanks to the support, a 3-D metal printing project was implemented, a new production area in Ukraine.
✔ The second information session began with a presentation of the project on fixing and assessing losses for SMEs in Zaporizhzhia region, which the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched in June with the support of the USAID Program.
Dmytro Antoniuk, Vice President of the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented the details and main opportunities of the initiative for business.
Sergiy Kubakh, Land Reform Team Leader of the USAID Agriculture Program, spoke about the current tools of the Program for farmers.
